I’m the kinda of gal that thinks if I could put a cape on I could save the world. I may be without a cape, but it doesn’t keep me from trying. I believe that photography is proof that love, beauty, passion and joy happen in this world. Photography stops time to relive our moments in life. It’s proof that we lived.
It tells me a story of the time I fell and cut my knee and had to have 7 stitches and brings my mom to tears every time it’s talked about. It tells the story of the big fluffy puppy I got for my birthday and how excited I was. It tells about the times I laughed with my friends, and the memories I had of my brother before he passed away. It tells the story of my first car, the first place that my best friend from high school and I had when we moved away from home, the first time I left the country and got stopped in customs for having such a common name. The journey I had with my BFF as she learned that she had cancer, the time she got fitted for a wig, and the ways I tried to help her get through the toughest time in her life. Photography is a place where I keep all my memoirs that I hold so dear to my heart. It is the thing I find so important in my life to keep alive. Without photos memories would fade and die.
Take time to put your family together or to celebrate yourself; you’ll never have a better time than this one to get your family together or to celebrate yourself. You just never know what tomorrow brings and what you may miss out if you wait for a “better” time.
